This mould detection inspection aims to identify potential hazards associated with excess moisture in building materials and furnishings.  A moisture meter is used where there is evidence of water intrusion, widespread mould growth, strong musty odours without visible growth, or if occupants are experiencing health problems related to mould exposure. Air and surface sampling is generally recommended to determine prevalence of fungi or the type (species) needs to be identified.
